The Administrator, Materials Management reports directly to the Supervisor, Materials Management, and is intended to work a (7-on / 7-off) rotating shift between days and nights. This role will consist of general warehousing duties and working closely with the maintenance group who is responsible for all maintenance activities of the liquefaction and regasification terminal. The individual's dedication and sensitivity to safety issues and compliance with policies and procedures are essential for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the terminal. 
Possess a general understanding of LNG (or other cryogenic hydrocarbon liquids) transportation, storage and processing including safety, environmental, maintenance, operations, governmental regulations and associated codes and standards. Familiarity with environmental designs and specifications, and requirements/regulations to develop and operate LNG and pipeline facilities. Understand the various applicable Federal, state and local environmental laws, regulations, codes and standards and permits required to develop and operate an LNG terminal and pipeline facilities, including but not limited to:   DOT, OSHA, USCG, NFPA, the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Natural Gas Act, RCRA, EPCRA, SARA reporting, SPCC, CERCLA TSCA, and participation in emergency response planning, techniques and reporting.
  • Off load delivery vehicles, inspect and verify material matches purchase order.
  • Process receivers in Oracle/Maximo and stock material for inventory or stage description direct items for work orders.
  • Use barcode printers and readers to receive, issue, inventory and store material.
  • Have the ability to create processes and procedures related to job functions as required.
  • Issue materials to PM or CM work orders.
  • Ship materials offsite for repairs or testing.
  • Track equipment and materials while off site for repairs or testing.
  • Provide other Supply Chain Management groups information to catalog new required material for inventory.
  • Ensures all facilities are maintained in accordance with government regulations and safety standards, and adequate records and documents are initiated and maintained.
  • Conducts daily cycle counts for inventory accuracy.
  • Process purchase requisitions for all warehouse requirement.
  • Work closely with maintenance and planning department for all material and service requirements.
  • Maintain off site warehouse.
  • Housekeeping
  • Available to adjust work schedule as required.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned
  • Education and Certifications:   High School diploma or equivalent is required.  Formal education in related technical or engineering discipline or related military training/experience is desirable.
  • Experience: At least two (2) years’ experience as a Materials Specialist or Warehouse position.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and administrative abilities are required of the Materials Specialist.
    • An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment.
    • Effective communicator at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries and governmental agencies.
    • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Organized and able to complete multiple activities and programs timely and with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Current knowledge of Federal, state and local environmental laws, policies and issues.
    • Computer savvy, including ESS, Microsoft Office Suite consisting of Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.

No direct reports.
Requires Supervision. Must also use sound judgment and make good decisions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work at height above ground on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell, type and write. 
  • Must be able to board a ship via a gangway, climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladder up to forty feet or more in height, and lift and move objects weighting up to 30 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors and outdoors, and exposed to year around weather conditions, ocean environment, noise, and occasionally process gases and vapors.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations.
  • All responsibilities must be met in a call-out environment, including holidays, weekends and nights.
  • Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status
