POSITION OVERVIEW
This Commercial Operations Analyst position is responsible for the day to day commercial activities associated with Cheniere’s long-term LNG sales and terminal use contracts.  These activities include developing and updating an integrated schedule for LNG deliveries and/or receipts, communicating with Cheniere’s long-term LNG customers, ensuring compliance with Cheniere’s LNG contracts, updating scheduling and transactions systems, and preparing regulatory reports. 
 
The position requires an individual with good business sense, an ability to analyze and interpret complex commercial agreements, strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively internally and externally, and strong analytical capabilities.
 
KNOWLEDGE
The candidate has knowledge of contract management and customer relationship management, preferably within the LNG industry.  Current occupants of this role have a business background and an ability to quickly understand and evaluate information in a dynamic environment.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Assist in the development and execution of an integrated schedule for delivery and/or receipt of LNG (referred to as the Annual Delivery Plan (ADP) and Ninety Day Schedules (NDS)). 
  • Communicate with LNG customers regarding cargo scheduling, shipping, and other contractual issues.
  • Track LNG production, terminal storage positions and the delivery of LNG.  
  • Ensure transactions are updated and proper invoices are sent to the customer.
 
Contract Management
  • Ensure and maintain timely and accurate documentation of all sales and terminal use agreements (e.g. TUAs, SPAs).
  • Ensure that contract terms, commitments and obligations such as notices, invoices, contract terminations and renewals, requested studies and analyses, etc. are adhered to and completed in a timely manner.
  • Research customer questions and inquiries in an effective and timely manner
  • Work cross-functionally across other groups within Cheniere to develop solutions and resolve disputes
 
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)
  • Education:  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or a technical field.
  • Experience:  1-3 years relevant experience in transaction management, cargo scheduling, or contract and customer management.
  • Skills: 
    • Knowledge and experience with contracts related to LNG, natural gas, or energy services
    • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) and ability to build and maintain relationships
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
    • Ability to prioritize effectively, multi-task when necessary
    • Ability to secure resources and information to get the job done
    • Ability to work effectively on short notice and off hours.
    • Spanish or Korean fluency or proficiency is a plus.
 
DIRECT REPORTS
This position will not have direct reports in the future.
 
FREEDOM TO ACT
This position does not require supervision over other personnel at the present.
 
WORK CONDITIONS
  • Job is performed in a typical office environment and at times is subject to time pressures and constraints.
  • Occasionally, work may be performed from home after normal work hours or on weekends.
  • Periodic travel (possibly internationally) as business requires.
