At Cheniere, we produce and export a clean energy source known as LNG. As the first U.S. exporter of liquefied natural gas we’re accustomed to being pioneers in our field. As a communications team at Cheniere we seek out stories (both internal and external) that need to be told.
We are actively looking for an individual to join our communications team who is experienced in gathering the details of a flat story and bringing it to life. When stories, projects, or requests come into our department we evaluate to whom they should be delivered as we build stories, promotions, or adverts. We need your help to develop advertisements, videos, splash pieces, website content, gifs, and much more.
While there are tons of people who can ‘make it look pretty’ we want someone with true vision. This is way more than building a logo. We want you to be the ember that starts a wildfire and inspires people to get behind a cause. Having sound knowledge in design theory and the ability to produce polished campaigns is critical.
Life at Cheniere is fast. Within communications we manage stories (both internally and externally) for numerous clients. You must be able to come in, work though the list of requests, set priorities and manage to those expectations. Be clear, up front, and honest with clients on when tasks can be completed.
  • Here are sample projects that the person can expect to do:
    • Create advertisements
    • Edit and produce videos
    • Develop materials such as brochures, flyers, programs
    • Develop properly sized graphics for social media post (based on a calendar of upcoming tweets, etc.)
    • Develop graphics as needed for presentation materials
    • Develop templates for reports
    • Conceptualize and build infographics
  • To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently and seek guidance when needed
  • Manage multiple projects against various deadlines for all internal clients
  • Deliver cutting edge graphics work
  • Produce quality photography and demonstrate technical ability for editing photos
  • Be daring and willing to pitch new ideas – and flexible enough to accept when we go another direction
  • Think outside of the box
  • Focused on delivering stellar customer service to our internal and external clients
  • Be flexible and willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in – no matter the task
  • Be eager to learn
  • Be respectful and a team player at all times to those around you
  • Problem solve – if it’s new, challenging, or a deviation from our normal day-to-day task we may need a new solution
Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required
Experience: 5 – 10 years of experience working in a creative role
  • Experienced in video storyboarding, creation, editing, and production
  • Demonstrate past examples of cutting edge graphics work and video production
Due to the variety of platforms we work on across Cheniere, the ideal candidate is willing to learn all of the time but should come in with experience in the following platforms:
  • Managing and enforcing branding standards
  • Strong communicator – written and verbal
  • Able to receive and keep information confidential
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office including SharePoint and Visio
  • Proficient in all things Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Illustrator, InDesign, Spark, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop)
  • Proficient at all things online (from  updating a project tracker to posting a story)
  • Video production – from storyboarding to the end, we need someone who can build splash videos, trailers, and feature pieces to share internally and externally
  • Developing copy
  • Experience with HTML (is a bonus)
  • Building, polishing, or reviewing presentations (experience in Prezi is a plus!)
  • Visualize and build pieces that turn numbers or facts into easy to understand images

Ability to multi-task and function in a highly-dynamic atmosphere; must exercise some discretion independently.
  • Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others.
  • Occasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hours or on weekends.
  • May be required to work over 40 hours per week.
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Cheniere.
